The area is under a heat advisory today from the National Weather Service today, where were told to expect temperatures that feel like 100 to 105 degrees.
Those triple-digit temperatures are actually the heat index values forecasted today between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. The actual temperatures are forecasted to reach the upper 90s today, the weather service stated.
The hot weather also brings with it today the chance of severe thunderstorms.
A line what appeared to be severe thunderstorms sputtered out as they reached the area last night about 8:30.
Tomorrow, the weather begins to improve with forecasted clear conditions and temperatures in the low 90s.
The weekend looks even better with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 80s, according to the weather service.
