Another round of wintry weather is set to move into the region, and road crews will be out treating the roads before conditions worsen and ice forms. Crews in Fairfax and Prince William counties will begin treating the roads at 3 p.m.
In Stafford County, crews will come in and be on standby at 8 p.m.They will not pre-treat the roads as the precipitation forcasted to fall there is expected to start as rain and would wash away any chemicals used to pre-treat road surfaces, said Virginia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Tina Bundy.
