WOODBRIDGE, Va. — This morning deluge of rain is already causing issues on the roads.
A tree fell across Blackburn Road in Woodbridge about 7:30 a.m. causing a temporary road closure, according to Rob Holtzhauer who sent PotomacLocal.com the photo of the tree on the road. The road connects U.S. 1 with Featherstone Road.

Stafford County officials have good news for commuters: the wreck involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 north at mile post 150 in Prince William County has been cleared from the highway as of 12:40 p.m.
DALE CITY, Va. — A portion of Dale Boulevard is closed due to a gas leak tonight.
Police are redirecting traffic away from the of the four-lane road between Benita Fitzgerald Drive and Cherrydale Drive. The gas leak originated on nearby Barksdale Drive, according to a statement from Prince William police.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Stafford County has entered into a contract to design and build further road improvements on Garrisonville Road in North Stafford.
Work is currently underway under the management of VDOT on 610, but the County will pick up where this project ends, continuing the road expansion with lane widening and improved turn lanes.

A bus carrying 17 people including its driver was returning to Prince William County after a birthday party in Washington, D.C. early this morning when it was involved in a crash where nine occupants were ejected.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Have you seen military vehicles traveling on Garrisonville Road lately?
Several Marines were using light armored vehicles, known as LAVs, when training at Quantico last weekend. Some drivers, including Garrisonville District Supervisor Laura Sellers, noticed the LAVs using Va. 610 (Garrisonville Road) to transport Marines to the training sites.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A car traveling on Joplin Road hit a tree and burst into flames late Thursday. The driver then jumped out the burning vehicle and fled into the surrounding woods.
Fire and rescue crews were called to mile post 20 on Joplin Road, about three miles south of the Prince William County Public Schools complex, about 9:15 p.m. They found an abandoned SUV fully engulfed in flames.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — The Telegraph Road bridge connecting drivers on U.S. 1 to Quantico in Stafford is set to reopen this weekend.
The original bridge was demolished and replaced with a new bridge as part of the Interstate 95 Express Lanes Project.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Drivers should be aware of temporary road closures on U.S. 1 in North Stafford this week.
The closures are part of an effort to improve a bridge that carries drivers on U.S. 1 over Aquia Creek.
