STAFFORD, Va. — The intersection of Route 628 (Ramoth Church Road) and Route 651 (Kellogg Mill Road) in Stafford County will be converted to an all way stop during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 19.
MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Road crews in Manassas Park will begin work to re-stripe lanes at the intersection of Route 28 and Manassas Drive.
The work will take place between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night this week. Crews anticipate finishing the work by 4 a.m. Friday, according to a press release from the city.
A school bus that left Rockledge Elementary School in Lake Ridge carrying children caught fire under the hood.
The children were evacuated and fire and rescue crews were called to meet the bus near the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Harbor Drive.
Prince William County Public Schools spokeswoman Irene Cromer tells us the bus was a “Potomac View [Elementary School] bus transporting Head Start students. No injuries were reported and parents are being contacted. Another bus was sent to transport the students.”
A Prince William County School bus collided with a parked police car in Woodbridge.
A pickup lost its load of wood on Route 29 in Gainesville.
Police were called about 11:10 a.m. for a report of a man on the northbound side of the highway trying to put wood back into a blue truck near the intersection of Somerset Crossing Drive.
