It was originally due to be completed the fall of 2019 and it’s now showing a completion date in Fall of 2020. Hoping you can check into why.
The completion date for the project to widen Route 1 between Mary’s Way and the Occoquan River has, indeed, been delayed until fall 2020. It had been set for this year.
WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) OmniRide is partnering with Northern Virginia Community College to offer a bus pass exclusively for the students, faculty and staff of NOVA’s Woodbridge and Manassas campuses.
The OmniRide College Pass will enable students, faculty and staff to get unlimited rides on OmniRide Local, Cross County Connector and Metro Express buses for the fall 2019 semester for $80. The pass will be valid for travel from August 19 through December 31, 2019.
DUMFRIES — Of the five road projects, totaling $355 million, that voters will have a say on this fall, the Van Buren Road extension wasn’t one of them.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors in June axed the $70 million project, which would have extended Van Buren from its intersection with Route 234 near Dumfries, to Cardinal Drive.
MANASSAS — She campaigned on removing traffic lights from Route 28 in Prince William County, the most congested road in Northern Virginia.
Flanked by area politicians Virginia State Senator Jeremy McPike, and Manassas Park Mayor Jeanette Rishell, Roem announced a new study that will look into how to remove those stoplights.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) will be closed in both directions at I-66 nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. beginning Aug. 14 into the following week.
During this time, construction crews can lift bridge beams into place for the new Sudley Road access road along westbound I-66.
FREDERICKSBURG — Drivers may encounter daytime delays next week on Truslow Road between Berea Church Road and Poplar Road in Stafford County.
During this time, a spot safety improvement project will be taking place.
FAUQUIER COUNTY — A Manassas man was killed in a crash in Fauquier County.
