There have been a number of occurrences in the Lake Ridge area beginning on March 18 and April 1 on Kempston Lane and April 5 on Berwick Place. The Fire Marshal’s Office and Prince William Police are working together to investigate, apprehend and prosecute those individuals responsible for these deadly devices.

Detectives from the Prince William Count Street Crimes Unit on Monday attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Eastbourne Drive and Potomac Club Parkway, near Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge. A new graffiti message was found inside a girls restroom inside the Woodbridge school, but Prince William County Public Schools spokesman Philip Kavitis told PotomacLocal.com that police see no credible threat contained in the new message found at the school. Kavitis was not specific on what messaged was contained in the new graffiti.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — The Prince William County School Board approved an $861 million operating budget Wednesday night, directing the Superintendent to find $5 million in new spending cuts to cover the cost of providing a step increase to employees on the current pay scale.
Budget approval came a week later than originally expected, as Board Members debated how best to afford enhanced pay increases. The new plan builds on the foundation of the spending reductions originally proposed to pay for an across-the-board raise in the budget plan rejected during last week’s Board mark-up session.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The man who initially pleaded not guilty to fatally beating his wife and then dumping her body behind a coffee shop in Woodbridge now faces 30 years in jail.
Franklin Camacho, 42, of Perth Amboy, N.J., will be sentenced May 20 in the beating death of Leonilda L. Caceres, 45, who was hit several times in the head with a hammer, according to NJ.com.
