STAFFORD COUNTY — A shoeless, 26-year-old man hitched a ride on a school bus to Stafford High School.
The bus picked up the man in the Lansberry Park neighborhood in the George Washington District, near Fredericksburg, on Thursday morning. In addition to having no shoes on his feet, the man also had no pack on his back, said Stafford sheriff’s office spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — A Maryland man faces sex assault charges after police said she abducted a woman in a Manassas area hotel room.

NORTH STAFFORD — (Press Release) A suspect was arrested on Tuesday by units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after stealing two video game consoles from the Best Buy located at Stafford Marketplace and fleeing the area on a bicycle.
On August 13, 2019, at approximately 10:09 a.m., Deputy Eastman responded to a reported shoplifting in progress at the Best Buy located at 1455 Stafford Market Place. A male subject was observed leaving the store with two PlayStation 4 video game consoles tucked under his arms. He then strapped the items to his bicycle using a bungee cord and fled in the direction of the commuter lot.
LAKE RIDGE — A man holding a knife was shot by police officers who were called to a report of a husband and wife arguing with each other.

DALE CITY –– (Press Release) On August 13, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit obtained additional charges against the driver involved in the fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 4100 Block of Dale Blvd. in Dale City during the early morning hours of August 11.
The investigation revealed that both the accused, driving a 2018 Toyota Camry, and the deceased, operating a 2018 Ducati V4 S motorcycle, were traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Dale Blvd. approaching Forestdale Ave.
NORTH STAFFORD — A homeowner told a sheriff’s deputy his he found his neighbor naked on his living room couch.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — (Press Release) On August 8, 2019, detectives from the Prince William County Police, Special Investigations Bureau conducted a Commercial Sex Operation at an area hotel in the Manassas area of the county. The objective of the operation was aimed to combat the illicit demand and solicitation of commercial sex services which has a direct connection to human trafficking.
During the course of the operation, undercover detectives created online advertisements designed to solicit commercial sex that led to the contact of numerous suspects by phone and through social media. As a result, multiple suspects were identified and charged with offenses relating to the solicitation of commercial sex.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — (Press Release) Fatal Crash Investigation – On August 11 at 2:17AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 4100 Block of Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2018 Ducati motorcycle and the driver of a 2018 Toyota sedan were traveling westbound on Dale Blvd when both vehicles crossed over the center median and struck two separate trees before coming to a stop on the eastbound side of Dale Blvd.
STAFFORD COUNTY — A 14-year-old boy is in trouble with authorities who said he stole a firearm and pointed it at a young girl in a neighborhood.
