PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Officials on the Prince William County School Board tonight will hear from residents who want to be appointed to the Board.
Six applicants will be considered to fill the vacant Woodbridge District seat on the Board. It’s a position that was vacated the day after the Nov. 6 General Election by Denita S. Ramirez, who took a new job in Richmond.

Sonia Hoehn leads ESL classes on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon in a classroom at the center next to Town Hall on Main Street. The sessions are free, and would-be students must register with Literacy Volunteers of America – Prince William County to participate in the classes.

QUANTICO, Va. — Pile driving work has begun near the Quantico Marine Corps Base as part of the Interstate 95 Express Lanes Project.
The work is underway near Joplin Road (Exit 150) on I-95. Transportation officials said the pile driving work will support the foundation of a new bridge that will run over Joplin Road.
