MANASSAS, Va. — A dump truck leaking hydraulic fluid has slowed the commute on Sudley Road in Manassas.
A hydraulic line on the truck broke while in the area of Lomond Drive, and that prompted fire and rescue crews to be called to the scene.
The Prince William County School Board approved a limited pilot program that would allow some principals to allow middle school students to participate in sub-varsity sports at the high school level.
After three court appearances, the General District Court dismissed charges against Diane Mederos of Amissville, whose Jeep SUV was struck by a Norfolk Southern train at the Route 29 crossing Dec. 19, 2012.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – A tree fell on a man who was cutting a tree at a home on Bacon Race Road in Prince William County this morning.
Fire and rescue units were called to the scene in the 11000 block of Bacon Race Road, near Davis Ford Road and Prince William Parkway, about 11:30 a.m. Crews began CPR on the victim, but his condition remains unknown at this hour, said Prince William fire and rescue spokeswoman Kim Hylander.
It’s tax day, and that means you’ll have to file your returns today or file for an extension. Area Post Offices will be open to accept those returns for those who opted not to file online.
