MANASSAS, Va. — When Zaki Scott’s parents were fighting, he didn’t care much about school.

Things were good when he was living in Dumfries, going to Graham Park Middle School, and was active at the Heiser Boys and Girls Club, a place where he was active after school.


WOODBRIDGE, Va. — ST Billingsley, owner of Steve’s Auto Repair in Woodbridge, presented a plaque to Scott Farischon, a manager at Car Quest Auto in Woodbridge, recognizing him for his help repairing several school buses for the Greater Manassas / Prince William Boys and Girls Clubs.

While Billingsley’s automotive technicians did the work, Farischon and his company donated several air conditioning compressors, brake pads, and rotors. The auto parts were used to repair several “club” buses used to transport children to and from the Boys and Girls Clubs in Dale City, Dumfries, and Manassas.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — If you’re sitting in traffic on Interstate 95 and 395 this weekend, don’t count on any relief from the HOV lanes between Dumfries and the Pentagon. The lanes will close for ongoing work as they are being converted to express toll lanes.
