MANASSAS, Va. – On September 15, a 911 caller told police that his friend was trying to get into their home by breaking the windows using a brick. Once officers arrived and tried to approach the man, police say that the man charged at them and spat at one of the officers once in custody.

MANASSAS, Va. — The son of Dumfries Town Manager Daniel Taber has died at age at 28.
Stephen Matthew Taber died Sept. 12. He had been working in a store that sells electronic cigarettes, located in Morgantown, WVa. He was also the owner of an internet business, Vapor Swag, which sold e-cigarettes online, according to Taber’s obituary.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – On September 13, a 24-year-old woman told police that two unknown men forced themselves into her home and threatened her with handguns while demanding money. Police say that the men stole a laptop before leaving the scene and that these two men followed her home after she was in the neighborhood walking her dog.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On September 13, two teenage victims told police that during the night three male suspects forced themselves into the home, one of which had a handgun, and stole multiple pairs of shoes and cell phones before fleeing the scene. Police say that the victims knew the suspects and that this was not a random incident.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Drivers crossing south into Woodbridge from Fairfax County on U.S. 1 could soon be greeted by a new apartment development on the Occoquan River.
A plan to build 720 apartment homes along the banks of the Occoquan River next to a concrete plant is set to be heard Wednesday night at a meeting of the Prince William County Planning Commission. The development is called Rivergate and, if approved, will consist two buildings five to six stories tall, on about 14 acres of property accessible by Annapolis Way in Woodbridge.
