Was Quantico Town Mayor Kevin Brown wrong when he ignored the orders of his town council?

That question was batted about during a special meeting of the Quantico Town Council on June 16. Last year, the council voted and directed Brown to hang decorative banners with the U.S. Flag emblazoned on them onto light poles in the town.


Transit bus services in Prince William County are on the chopping block.

The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) currently operates commuter and local bus service for residents in Prince William, Stafford, Manassas, and Manassas Park.


A small business venture at the Westminster at Lake Ridge retirement community has helped to provide its residents with equipment and recreational facilities.

Eethel Johnson – a 93-year old Westminster resident – and some other residents at the facility came up with the idea to open up a thrift store named Encore on the premises in 2001.


Early in the morning on June 23rd, Prince William police responded to a call at a hotel on Dumfries Road in Dumfries for a robbery.

According to Prince William police, the victim – a 25-year old woman – was visiting the hotel. The victim stated that she met an unknown individual in the area, and he followed her back to the hotel.
