LAKE RIDGE, Va. — A South Carolina man was killed Saturday night while crossing Old Bridge Road near Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — One man was shot multiple times at a house in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane.
Police were called to the scene just before 10 p.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting.

Rescue crews were called to the intersection of Minnieville Road and Smoketown Plaza, near a KFC restaurant, for an overturned car.

Police tell us the crash involved three vehicles and occurred near the intersection of Dumfries and Purcell roads about 8:30 a.m.
Two people were taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Elections officials in Prince William County say voter turnout on November 8 could be as much as 85% of registered voters.
That could cause long lines at polling places across the county. Today, General Registrar Michelle White issued this press release urging voters to use this weekend — the last weekend of absentee voting — to cast thier ballots.

Wilson completed a distinguished Air Force career that includes three Command tours (chief executive) at multiple Command levels, served in key positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, The Joint Staff, and the US Department of State. Additionally, he was a U-2 pilot, U-2 instructor pilot, Director of U-2 operations, and Commander that piloted highly sensitive missions worldwide.

Maj. Steven J. Thompson is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He’s been with the department since 1996 after working in New York City.
