PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — (Press Release) The Prince William Board of County Supervisors recently received staff input on potential mobility and park bond referenda.

If authorized by the board, the bond referenda will be placed on the November 2019 election ballot and citizens will be able to vote on whether to authorize the board debt finance the mobility and parks projects through general obligation bonds.

WOODBRIDGE — A good labor market has to lead to bad service when it comes to hauling away trash from homes and businesses.

Since February, Prince William County’s Solid Waste Division has received 20 reports of missed collection by American Disposal for trash and recycling pickups from residents in the Manassas area, Woodbridge, Nokesville, and Gainesville.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — OmniRide College Passes for the summer semester are coming soon to students of Northern Virginia Community College.

The College Pass is the result of a collaboration between OmniRide and Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge and Manassas (NOVA) campuses and will be available for $35 to any student with a valid college ID card.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — The Prince William County Animal Shelter is encouraging everyone to take photos of an animal friend and submit them to the shelter’s photo contest.

The “Summer Fun with Animal Friends” photo contest is taking place between May 22 and June 1. You may submit your photo entries during regular shelter hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.


WOODBRIDGE — Delays on Virginia Railway Express trains have become more common in recent weeks.

On Monday, signal issues and speed restrictions on the commuter railroad’s Manassas Line lead to delays. On the system’s Fredericksburg Line, commuter trains have been made late by freight trains using the line — which take precedence over the commuter trains as the freight railroads own the tracks.
