Prince William County is expected to see a sharp rise in the number of early voters and mail-in ballots for the November 2020 election, according to a presentation by general registrar Michele White.
Earlier this year, the Virginia General Assembly passed a no-excuse early voting law which allows people to vote early both in-person and via mail ballot without providing an excuse for doing so.
Police said a man followed a woman to her vehicle and grabbed her by the arm so she couldn’t leave after they got into an escalating argument.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 21, at 7:53 p.m., when police arrived in response to a call reporting of a domestic problem. Police said that when they arrived at 4700 Block of Kilbane Road in Dale City, a woman, also the victim, told police that she and an acquaintance of hers were in an argument that escalated.

While certain portions of the event will be different this year due to the new coronavirus, namely their famous ‘sunflower maze,’ an abundance of sunflowers will still be available for guests to pick and take home.
Many have been struggling to make ends meet on their bills since the coronavirus outbreak, and now Columbia Gas of Virginia is giving its customers a break when it comes to paying their bills.

Back in March, after local schools were forced to switch to remote instruction because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Prince William school board asked the board of supervisors for $5 million in extra money to buy electronic devices to help high school students complete their online coursework.
As of July 17, a total of 178 people in Prince William County have died due to the coronavirus disease.
There have been 8,240 cases of coronavirus reported in the county, and 728 people have been hospitalized since the start of the pandemic in early March.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors approved the $142 million Balls Ford Interchange Project that is expected to help relieve traffic congestion.
Construction will begin this fall and is expected to be completed in November 2022.
Prince William County has opened eight new pickleball courts at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building in Woodbridge.
Many citizens have already been using the courts for a while, but a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony made things official, according to a Prince William County press release.
