Boaters on the Potomac River spent the Labor Day weekend rallying for President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, September 6, boaters took their “Trump flotilla” to the Aquia Bay in Stafford County, at the confluence of the Aquia Creek and Potomac River. The rally began at 10 a.m. at Hope Springs Marina.

Prince William County leaders are moving forward with an effort to rename Jefferson Davis Highway.
The Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, will hear details of a plan that would rename 12 miles of the four and six-lane highway, between Stafford and Fairfax county lines, Richmond Highway.
Rich Dalton, who had been serving as an acting chief operating officer for the Virginia Railway Express since November 2019 has been named as its permanent chief.
Dalton was hired by the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission and the Rappahannock Transportation Commission, both bodies oversee the VRE. He replaces former CEO Doug Allen, who stepped down nearly a year ago.
The Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7 means no OmniRide service will be available for local and commuter routes.

Coronavirus testing continues at multiple sites in and around Prince William County, to include Haymarket, Dale City, Manassas, Dumfries, and Woodbridge.
As of today, there are 64 reported cases of people with the virus in in the health district, and one person is hospitlized, according to the Virginia Department of Health.
