The Prince William County Office of Tourism–Visit Prince William–launched a romance-themed promotion through its ‘Passport to Prince William’ digital passport today.
“Since its December 2020 launch, the ‘Passport to Prince William’ has far surpassed our expectations,” stated Ann Marie Maher, Director of Tourism for Prince William County. “The ‘Sweetest Deals’ campaign builds upon the Passport’s success by providing over 25 romance-themed offers perfect for Valentine’s Day and beyond. It’s our way of connecting shoppers in the region to County businesses while we continue to mask-up and spread-out this winter,” she added.

Lawmakers unanimously shot down legislation this week that would have required employers to provide hazard pay to essential employees and provide protective equipment in the event of a stay-at-home order.
Del. Hala S. Ayala, D-Woodbridge, said she introduced House Bill 2015 to help protect and further compensate employees required to work during a shelter-in-place or stay-at-home order.
The Crime Prevention Unit of the Prince William County Police Department hosts a Neighborhood Watch meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, beginning at 7 p.m.
The event should last about an hour.

The Prince William County Police Department wants the public to know there is still time to help meet our goal in support Virginia Special Olympics by signing up with Team PWCPD for the 2021 Polar Plunge.
This year’s event, which culminates on Saturday, will look a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but participants can still have a fantastic time supporting a great cause. Plunge Week is Feb. 1-6, 2021, with a virtual celebration on Feb. 6, 2021.
Tuesday, February 2, PWHD Vaccinations Scheduled Appointments: If you are scheduled to receive your COVID-19 vaccine at George Mason University Beacon Hall, Kelly Leadership Center, Potomac Middle School, or Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday, February 2, and your appointment were scheduled before 10:00 AM, your appointment has been canceled due to the hazardous weather conditions.
