Prince William County residents can now schedule appointments for fingerprinting services through the Police Department’s website. Appointments are available now for March 2021. The Fingerprinting Services web page is updated monthly to reflect those dates.

Fingerprinting is performed at the Prince William County Police Department’s Licensing Section located at 8406 Kao Circle in Manassas (Euclid Business Center). Fingerprinting services are available ONLY to Prince William County residents or those seeking employment in Prince William County.

The Emergency Housing Assistance Program will be provided to all eligible households who reside in Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, who have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19.

The program will provide recipients with a one-time or short-term (no more than six consecutive months payments) of emergency mortgage and utility housing assistance to “prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.


The Prince William County Police Department reminds motorists to obey the flashing lights that indicate lower speeds for school zones as County schools reopen more fully to students.

The School Board voted to return to in-school instruction on February 24 and 25 for students in grades 4, 5, 6 and 9. Students in grades 7, 8, 10 11, and 12 will return to in-school on March 2 and 3.


The remainder of Prince William County’s public school children who haven’t set foot in a classroom in nearly a year may do so later this month.

After the Emancipation Act and the end of the Civil War, many freed slaves built communities across Prince William County.

One of those communities, known as “The Settlement,” within the triangle of Old Carolina, Carver Road and Lee Highway in Gainesville, remains, to this day, home to many descendants of those early County residents.
