Prince William County Service Authority customers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 have until Wednesday, February 10, at 5 p.m. to apply for assistance.

Customers who have unpaid Service Authority water bills since March 1, 2020, and who have experienced a loss of income due to the Coronavirus Pandemic may be eligible to receive funds from the COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program.


Prince William County has adopted key changes in curbside yard waste collection, as well as new rules for collecting recyclables at apartment buildings

As part of the change, the county’s yard waste program will be seasonal, running from March through December, but will not take effect until October 2021 to allow waste haulers time to equip and staff appropriately.


Free coronavirus testing is available for anyone who lives or works in Prince William County, the City of Manassas, or the City of Manassas Park.

Participants must provide their full name, telephone number, and a home or work address in Prince William County, the City of Manassas, or the City of Manassas Park to obtain COVID testing and receive the results.

A Dumfries Town Councilwoman is calling for greater transparency when it comes to how public funds are spent.

During last night’s Town Council meeting, Councilwoman Cydny Neville called for Town Manager Keith Rogers to require the town treasurer to come before the Town Council at least four times a year, to provide a presentation on the state of the town’s finances.


Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) has been working to secure vaccinations for School Division staff through the Prince William Health District, INOVA, and Novant UVA Health System.

Late last Friday night, PWCS was notified of 100 available vaccinations at INOVA Fairfax. This past Saturday and Sunday, these vaccinations were administered to Tier 1 employees who have been working in-person. Tier 1 employees are those with documented underlying medical conditions that place them at high risk per the CDC if they were to contract COVID-19. PWCS has no control over the number of vaccinations available.


Margaret Franklin, who is elected to represent the Woodbridge District on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, will again this year lead the OmniRide Board of Commissioners.
