“We were deeply disturbed to hear that the USDA has instructed states to stop processing SNAP benefits for November and were surprised by your recent comments that the program will ‘run out of money in two weeks,’” wrote U.S. Sens. “Right now, Guzman’s campaign is airing TV ads attacking Lovejoy and tying him to former President Donald Trump in a district where many federal employees live,” 7News reported. “‘He’s attacking our jobs, our healthcare, our rights, and Ian Lovejoy is helping Trump do it,’ one of Guzman’s ads says.”
“Lovejoy is hitting back. In his campaign ads, Lovejoy points to some voters’ concerns about a bill Guzman told 7News she wanted to introduce when she was in the House. In October 2022, Guzman explained that her bill would create child abuse charges for parents if they do not affirm their LGBTQ child’s sexual orientation and gender identity.”

“Join us this Sunday, October 26th for our Halloween Farmers Market!” Town of Haymarket (Facebook) posted. “Come in costume and let the kids trick-or-treat at the vendor booths while you shop!”
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature live music, crafts, trick-or-treating, and food vendors at the Haymarket Farmers Market.
The joint meeting, which took place on Oct. 8, came only one week after the federal government shut down. The shutdown went into effect on Oct. 1 when the Senate could not pass the spending bill; many Democrats have cited healthcare funding as their primary reason for opposing the bill.
And while government services have begun to slow or cease altogether, thousands in the DMV region are being impacted. Around 30,500 federal workers lived in Prince William County in February according to a county presentation. It’s unknown how estimates have and will change due to the Trump administration’s cuts to federal agencies.
