Keep Prince William Beautiful called for local artists to beautify bus stops in Dumfries. The project is being facilitated to improve the community and ridership experience. 

The Adopt-A-Shelter program, managed by the Keep Prince William Beautiful non-profit, partnered with both local bus service provider OnniRide, and the Dumfries Town Government to encourage the community to keep the stops clean. 


The newest elementary school in Prince William County needs a permanent name. The school division will hold a community meeting to discuss the name (register here.)

Since construction began last year, officials have referred to the new school as “Rosemount Lewis” because the school sits near a park with the same name. The school is at 11000 Crestwood Drive, near Manassas.


Greetings, Prince William – The dedicated staff at Grace United Methodist Church needs volunteers to be Teachers and Helpers for their next session of English as a Second Language (ESL), April 4 thru June 8. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 pm-9 pm, at the church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas 20110. The wonderful people at Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets need an experienced volunteer age 18+ to help coordinate, manage, and execute walk/run fundraisers. The goal is to host a 5K race in Prince William during the early fall. Occoquan announces their spring event is back for 2023. Peep Week in Occoquan takes place from April 4 to 8, 2023.

Peep week is an annual spring event in Occoquan that invites the community to participate in building a Peeps diorama. If you enter, you can win a $50 prize in your category, or you can vote for one made by a local Occoquan business.
