Woodbridge, Va. — Prince William officials plan to honor the 22 residents from the county who died on Sept. 11, 2001.

Nineteen of them were killed in a terrorist attack the Pentagon in Arlington and three at the World Trade Center in New York City.


Dumfries, Va. –– A single red fire truck was called to investigate a fire at one of three radio towers on Mine Road in Dumfries about 2:20 p.m. Saturday.

No one was hurt and there was no serious damage at the tower, though the  fire crew said they could see and smell smoke once they arrived on the scene.


Woodbridge, Va. –– Children gathered by the half pipe herald the redesign of the only public skate facility at a Prince William County park.

Since 2009, officials with the Prince William Park Authority have discussed remodeling the Skate Park at Veterans Memorial Park in Woodbridge.


Fire and rescue crews were called about 2:30 a.m. to the 14700 block of Dodson Drive for a fire on the roof of the home, initial reports indicate. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze and there have been no reports of anyone injured.

The cause of the fire was confirmed this morning by Prince William fire and rescue Battalion  Chief Joseph Robertson.
