STAFFORD, Va. — George Allen brought his Virginia Voices tour to Stafford on Monday where he listened to defense industry, business and community leaders voice their views and concerns about the $500 Billion defense cuts scheduled to begin January 2.
At a defense roundtable organized by Stafford County Supervisor Ty Scheiber, Allen met with leaders representing a variety of regional interests, including local defense contracting companies, small businesses, the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.

STAFFORD, Va. — Tim Kaine and Anne Holton kicked off a volunteer neighborhood canvass in Stafford on Saturday, Sept. 15 at a campaign field office near the Stafford Hospital. Kaine is a former Virginia governor who is running for senate against George Allen, another former governor. Allen also used to be a Virginia senator and is looking to reclaim that title.

Malicious Wounding | Felony Child Neglect – On September 13th at 12:38PM, police responded to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge for an unconscious baby. Family members brought the victim, a 5 month old baby girl, to the hospital because she became unresponsive.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center has partnered with the Prince William Courage Soccer Club and the Prince William County public school to launch a new afterschool program that will focus on fitness, understanding health, and nutrition. The program has been dubbed the Prince William Courage “F.U.N.” Project, and it marks it’s debut on Tuesday.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Neighbors gathered to remember a woman who was tragically shot and killed by her husband two years ago. Afterward, her husband took his own life.
Area residents filled the track at Prince William County’s Freedom High School in Woodbridge on Saturday to remember the life of Jenny Vaughn Bates at the “No Woman, No Cry 5K Walk.”
