STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Students in Stafford County once again this year will come together to fight hunger in their communities.

More than 400 students will descend on Mountain View High School at 7 p.m. November 5 for the second annual Band Together to Fight Hunger. The show will feature band students from all five of Stafford’s high schools, and all proceeds from the show will benefit the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.


MANASSAS, Va. –– Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell will stump for George Allen and Congressman Rob Wittman Tuesday in Manassas.

The triad will also be joined at 9 a.m. by State Senator Bryce Reeves (R-Fredericksburg) and Delegate Richard Anderson (R-Prince William) for a tour of Logis-Tech at 9450 Innovation Drive.


In the coming months the district will change the logos placed on the side of county vehicles from Stafford’s official seal to an image more reflective of the county’s overall branding.

The new door panel logos will include the “Stafford County” text in a design seen on marketing materials, the county’s government and economic development websites, and on water towers. The changes are planned in advance of a coming celebration to mark the 350th anniversary of the Stafford County’s founding.


Strangulation – On October 17th at 9:30AM, police responded to Woodbridge Senior High School, located at 3001 Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge (22192), for an assault.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 15-year-old male of Woodbridge, was in a restroom within the school along with a group of other students, including the accused, a known acquaintance.


STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. –– It’s going to be a full day of fun at the Wings and Wheels Festival at the Stafford Regional Airport.

This marks the festival’s eighth year, and it’s organized by the Stafford Rotary Club.


STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The fair has come to Stafford once more, for the third year in a row.

The Stafford County Fair opened last night and runs through Sunday at Mountain View High School. The fair is filled with carnival rides from the Ferris wheel to bumper cars, and fair manager Gordon Shelton is selling all-you-can ride tickets good all day long from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.


On October 18 at approximately 10 PM, officers responded to a report of an abduction.  Three females (aged 21, 17, and 15) from the Dumfries area were walking along Fuller Heights Road near the intersection of Mockingbird Heights Road reported that a lone suspect stopped them at gunpoint and attempted to rob them.  

He also took one of the girls away from the others and assaulted her.  He fled on foot when he saw the lights of responding police cars approaching the area.
