FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Gerry E. “Gerry” Connolly is headed back to congress, re-elected to serve Virginia’s 11th Congressional District.

He beat out Republican challenger Chris Perkins, as well as a sea of independent candidates.


WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Democrat Lillie Jessie is heading to the Prince William County School Board.

She beat out appointed incumbent Michael Wooten with 43 to 31 percent of the vote. Lori Bauckman-Moore placed third in a sea of four candidates.

RICHMOND, Va. – Other news articles have said that the fact the presidential and vice presidential candidates have come to Virginia so many times underscores the importance of the state to this election. Well, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan, who is from Wisconsin, is flying in to Richmond today – Election Day of all days.


4 p.m. Principi to hold press conference 

Prince William Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi will hold a press conference at 4 p.m. to discuss the long lines at polling places in eastern Prince William County.


Two major party candidates came to Woodbridge on Wednesday and worked to convince a handful of business owners why they’re the right choice for congress.
