Winston has found his forever home, and now it’s Goldie’s turn! This lovable pup is waiting for a second chance with a family who will give her the love and care she deserves.

Right now, during Mutt Madness, all dog adoption fees at the Stafford County Animal Shelter are waived, making this the perfect time to adopt. If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your home, there’s no better opportunity.

The Prince William County Animal Services Center has taken in several stray animals between March 4 and March 6, 2025, and is working to reunite them with their owners or find them loving new homes.

The shelter regularly posts photos of stray animals brought to the center to assist pet owners in locating their missing pets. If you believe your lost pet may be at the center, you are encouraged to visit in person, call (703) 792-6465, or email [email protected] for more information.

Bari is ready to celebrate in style! This one-year-old girl is full of energy and loves a good party—especially if there’s some King Cake involved. She’s looking for an active family to join in on the fun and give her the loving home she deserves.

Bari enjoys long walks, working on her obedience training, and simply spending time with her favorite humans. Whether you’re up for an outdoor adventure or just need a loyal companion to hang out with, Bari is the perfect match.

A sweet and affectionate feline named Maggie is looking for a new home after her previous living situation became too stressful. This 9-year-old tuxedo cat was surrendered to the Stafford County Animal Shelter after experiencing anxiety due to conflicts with other cats in her home. Now, she’s ready to find a loving family who can give her the attention and care she deserves.

Maggie has already been spayed and is declawed, making her adoption process straightforward with no restrictions. While she is still adjusting to shelter life, her affectionate nature shines through—she’s a cuddler at heart and has done well with young children in the past. Though she hasn’t yet had roommates at the shelter, she may be compatible with older or more relaxed feline companions. However, she would also thrive as the only pet in a calm, loving home.

The staff and volunteers at the Prince William County Animal Services Center can’t stop raving about Roxy: “She’s such a sweet girl,” “She’s so gentle,” and “Roxy is such a great dog!” This affectionate pup is looking for a loving family after experiencing a difficult transition.

Roxy was a cherished pet, but when her family lost their job and had to relocate out of state, they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. She previously lived with children—ages 4 and 12—and was great with them most of the time. However, since younger kids may struggle with boundaries and gentle touch, she would likely thrive best in a home with children aged 7 or older.

Three of Old Dominion Humane Society’s longest residents—Crash, Ziggy, and Butterscotch—have patiently waited for their forever homes, watching hundreds of other dogs find loving families. Together, they have spent a total of 1,620 days in the rescue facility or with foster families, and ODHS is determined to find them the perfect match.

Ziggy – With a big personality packed into a 15-pound frame, Ziggy has been at ODHS for 600 days, since July 15, 2023. He’s well-mannered, loves belly rubs, and listens to commands. He thrives in an adult-only home where his adopter can maintain strict boundaries. While he wears a tiny muzzle in public, he’s a volunteer favorite for his affectionate nature and playful energy.

Lily’s journey has been one of resilience and healing. Found as a stray, she arrived at Spotsylvania Animal Shelter in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in dire condition, with severe hair loss and skin irritations. After weeks of special veterinary care, Lily is now on the mend—her coat is growing back and making progress each day.

At six years old and weighing 45-50 pounds, Lily is a quiet, gentle dog who spends most of her time resting in her kennel. She’s deaf, requiring slow introductions and a calm, patient environment to feel comfortable. Due to her hearing impairment and past trauma, the shelter recommends a home where Lily can be the only pet and without young children, allowing her to enjoy a peaceful and stress-free life.

Mochi is an affectionate and friendly 8-year-old cat who is hoping to find her forever home. Sadly, her previous owner decided they no longer wanted her, but she hasn’t lost her loving spirit. Mochi adores attention and would love to be part of a family that will cherish her.

If you’re looking for a loyal and cuddly companion, Mochi might be the perfect fit! Stop by the Manassas City Animal Adoption Center to meet her in person and give her the happy home she deserves.
