DALE CITY, Va. — The Wells Fargo Bank branch at on Dale Boulevard, near the intersection of Interstate 95 was robbed this morning.

Police were called to the bank in Dale City about 9:15 a.m., as well as to areas around Ashdale Plaza, and the area around Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center search for the suspect.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. — For Lake Ridge residents, it’s no secret that a quick jaunt down Old Bridge Road to Interstate 95 is a thing of the past. There’s only so much room on the four-lane road, and couple that with a growing population, and rush hours seem to go on longer than expected.

Stafford, Va. – Stafford County is set to break ground on its $838,000 Armed Services Memorial located to the rear of the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, at 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford. A special groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.


From Prince William police: 

Homicide Investigation *UPDATE –  On March 1, the male suspect involved in the homicide of Silvia Patricia RAMOS GUILLEN, which occurred on February 17 at a residence located in the 7300 block of Forrester Ln in Manassas, died as a result of his injuries sustained during the incident. Detectives with the Homicide Unit are currently working in conjunction with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine his exact cause of death. This incident was isolated to the parties involved and there is no threat to the public. The investigation continues.


From Prince William County Public Schools: 

The Office of Facilities Services for Prince William County Public Schools will hold a public meeting to share information on the new location of the proposed 13th high school. The new location is located off Progress Court, adjacent to Jiffy Lube Live and the new Western Transportation Facility. The new location is less than one mile north from the previous location.

A new pedestrian bridge is currently being constructed on the east side of Route 1 crossing over Powell’s Creek. They are currently installing a larger water pipe as they wanted to do an upgrade while construction was being done in the area.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Prince William residents want their Board of Supervisors to intervene in a plan to “cap-in-place” four million tons of coal ash along the Potomac River.

A survey commissioned by the Potomac Riverkeeper Network. an environmental group arguing for the ordered removal of the coal ash, found that a majority of respondents said yes when asked “Should Prince William County Board Of Supervisors Require Dominion To Come Up With Alternative Solutions Other Than Simply Capping It In Place Before Dominion Receives Final Approval For A Solid Waste Permit To Store This Coal Ash?”
