Nancy Carol Tierney was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away on March 31, 2021 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family who will honor her by living their lives to the fullest.

On May 11, 1947, Kenneth and Allene Hauck received a Mother’s Day blessing when Nancy was born. Nancy grew up in Arlington and Springfield, VA before moving to Virginia Beach. A wildly intelligent and dedicated student, she graduated near the top of her class from Robert E. Lee High School (now John R. Lewis High School) in Springfield, VA and went on to obtain a B.A. in History from the College of William & Mary where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After teaching in the Virginia Beach public school system and working with her father at the American Truckers Association, she worked as a legal assistant at the international law firm Holland & Knight for over 30 years before retiring in 2015.


Ida J. Myrick, 75, died April 8, 2021 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She was born August 27, 1945 to the late Walter and Bessie Mae Myrick. She is survived by her devoted son, Charles L. Davis (Gina); and her grandchildren, Jaxson and Maddox Davis.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Senior Ministry until her health began to fail.


Phillip Paul Klemmer, age 55, of Dale City, Virginia passed away on March 31, 2021.

Phillip was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1965. He graduated from Nurnberg American High School, Nurnberg Germany in 1984 where he was an All-Europe football player. He briefly attended college at Norwich University in Vermont, where he was commonly known as “Budda”, and Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.


William Fred Anderson, 65, died April 7, 2021 in Woodbridge Virginia. He was born in Portsmouth Virginia hospital May 24, 1955. Fred graduated from Woodbridge Senior High and worked at George Mason College as a boiler master. He was injured while employed there. Later he was an over the road truck driver for 34 years.

Fred loved to ride his Harley. He was adventurous. Fred loved to read books and read the bible 6 times. He loved music and loved board games and always up for playing cards. On his good days, he could always make you laugh.


Gwendolyn O. Hano passes on April 8, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her mother Elsie Elois Moore, Father Alton Iwanoff Hano, Step Father Ray Angus Moore, and brothers Lestor Leroy Hano (Beaver) and Preston Iwanoff Hano.
