Gary C. Williams, of Lake Ridge, passed away March 6, 2014 at Sentara Potomac Hospital. Gary was born in 1958 in Idaho. He touched and saved many lives in the rooms and throughout the community. He gave hope to those who had none and brought many to Christ.

Gary is survived by his adoring wife Patty, his treasured boys Cameron and Jordan (and their mother). He loved his sister Linda, her children Julie and Laurie, husband Nick, children Sam, Jolene, and Susanna: and sister Anita, children Jessica and Nate. He is also survived by step-mother Sandi and his best friend Tom and wife Ellen, and his mentor Gary and wife Pat. He is preceded in death by his parents Jodi and Gerald and sister Candy. He was a small business owner of Belmont Power Equipment in Newington, VA. He will be remembered by Bob his business partner and the rest of the family at Belmont. His hobbies include music, kayaking and hiking. He was very loyal to and loved at Woodbridge Group.

Gina Maria Reyes, 59, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014, surrounded by her adoring family. Beloved wife of almost 34 years to Tony F. Reyes (PDG Lions 24-A). Loving mother of Rachel Elizabeth Bazzone (Mike), Andrew Anthony Reyes and Christopher Matthew Reyes. Cherished grandmother of Noah, Amelia, Lucy and Iris. Dear sister of Michael J. Iraggi (Debbie), Joann Macauley, Bonnie Porter and John Iraggi. Gina worked tirelessly for the Treasury Department for over 32 years before retiring in 2011. She was a passionate Counted Cross Stitcher and a voracious reader. Gina loved to travel and leaves us with many wonderful memories.

The family will receive friends at the Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, where a Lions Service will be held at 7 PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 12 at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12975 Purcell Road, Manassas, VA 20112. Ida Chico Simpson, Of Stafford, Va., died on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital. Ida is preceded in death by her husband Henry “Hank” Simpson. She is survived by her daughters Helene Simpson-Chapman and her husband Michael, Elise Simpson and two grandchildren: Micayla and Austin Chapman. She is also survived by her cousin Jose Roman Franqui and his wife Marilyn Atiles. Although raised in Brooklyn, NY, Ida has a large and loving extended family in Puerto Rico, where she was born.

Ida attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tenn. where she studied to become a teacher. She transferred and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Art Education before attending George Mason University where she earned her Masters in Fine Arts. She has been a faithful member of Montclair Tabernacle Church of God for 49 years where she taught Sunday School and Children’s Church with her husband and children. Ida taught Art at Woodbridge Senior and then Gar-field Senior High Schools for over 39 years until she retired in 2004.

Bobby L. Gillis, 51, of Woodbridge, died on March 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Young; and his daughter, Jamia Gillis. Mr. Gillis is survived by his wife, Lydia Gillis; daughter, Mya Hutchinson; and step son Alfred McGilberry. He is also survived by his grandson, Adonnise Rogers; step-father, Edward Young; sisters, Sandra Jones, Etta Jean Isaac, and Margaret Gillus; his brother, Anthony Gillis, Sr., and a host of other relatives.

Obituary for Carla Marie Finnegan

Carla M. Finnegan, 63, of Triangle, VA, passed away on March 2, 2014 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother Frances M. Gregg, her father Victor C. Whetzel, her step-father Preston C. Perrin, her sister Linda D. Ward, and her brother Billy Whetzel. She is survived by her brother Bobby Whetzel of Lakeland Fla., her brother Ronald Lee Perrin of Fredericksburg Va., her niece Renae Gray of Woodbridge, Va., and her nephew Gregory M. Ledbetter of Christiansburg Va. Carla has a great niece Susan A. Gray and 4 great nephews, Timothy W. Gray, Richard K. Waybright Jr., Joseph E. Mosley, and Brandon S. Mosley. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 12:00PM at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA 22193.

Obituary for Myrtle W. Senior

Myrtle W. Senior, 92, of Woodbridge, VA, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her home in Woodbridge. “Myrt”, as she was known by her husband and close friends or “Mimi” as she was known by her grandchildren and many others, was born on March 26, 1921, to Laura May Shaw and Frank Wackenhut. She had lived in Philadelphia, PA, Woodbridge, VA, and Ocala, FL, before moving back to Woodbridge with her husband in the fall of 2009 to be near family. She was a kind, patient, loving soul and will be missed by many.

Zoila Morales, 72, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on February 28, 2014. Beloved wife of Juan F. Morales. Loving mother of Doris Lima (Marco), Jaime Morales (Patty), Omar Morales (Dolores) and the late Marlon Morales, whose wife Jennifer still survives. Cherished grandmother of Kassandra Lima, Zoila Recinos, Jaime Alberto Morales, Alex Francisco Morales, Benjamin Morales, Nicholas Boyd Morales, Jackson David Reyes, Marlon Reyes Morales, Kayla Morales, Jeramy Vanlanduit, Joshua Morales and Meghan Morales. Great grandmother of Olga, Julian and Katherine Isabella. Dear sister of Rosa Aida Montenegro, Lidia Montenegro, Mario Montenegro, Enrique Montenegro and the late Francisco Montenegro.

Donald Wayne Irby, 66, of Stafford, VA, passed away peacefully, on February 27, 2014, surrounded by his family. Loving father of Kim Gennarelli (Tom), and Donnie Irby (Dorie). Cherished grandfather of Kayla Welch (Andrew), Nick Gennarelli, Alexa Gennarelli, Alayna Irby, Alyssa Irby, Sebastian Arrington, Austin Arrington, and Kylie Arrington. Great Grandfather of Mason Welch. Beloved companion of Cindy Arrington. Dear brother of Patsy Cooper, Phyllis Dodge, Gerald Irby (Linda), Carrol Irby (Jeanette), Mike Irby (Ella Jane), and Butch Irby (Nancy). Also survived by his former spouses Karen Richardson and her daughter Michelle; and Nancy Irby Tate. Donald was predeceased by his brother Bobby.

Jessica Elizabeth Goff, 26, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on February 27, 2014. Beloved daughter of Mary Clover Goff and Billy Goff (Sheila). Loving mother of Braxton Clover Clyburn. Dear sister of Viola Kincaid, Laura Goff, Alison Goff and Joseph Goff. Also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other extended family and friends.

Thomas James Dempster, 64, of Woodbridge, VA passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 with his wife by his side. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years and then worked as a government contractor in the IT field for over 40 years.

He was born in Long Branch, NJ and resided in Woodbridge, VA for the last 30 years. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He loved cars, driving fast, new technology, target practice and reading Tom Clancy novels. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and driving his Jeep on the beach.
