Zoey Moonbeam Wahl, 4, of Seattle, WA and Woodbridge, VA died on May 31st, 2014. Zoey was born on January 25, 2010 in Virginia. She is survived by her mother, April, Joe Gleason, and her father Mark Wahl. She is also survived by her grandparents, as well as great grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Zoey touched the lives of all that knew her through her contagious smile and loving spirit. She always found a way to surprise us, as in her own first sentence “Oh shit, marshmallows!

Lawrence Junior “JR” Shillingburg, II, age 37 died at his residence in Gainesville, VA on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

Survivors include his mother Pamela Shillingburg; his father Lawrence Shillingburg and wife Tara; one brother Charles Shillingburg and wife Mandi; a nephew Silas; his aunts Nancy Bolton and husband Johnny and Ruth Newcomer; his uncles Larry Sendaj and wife Candy, Barry Sendaj and wife Vicky, Ron Shillingburg and wife Joy and Steve Shillingburg and wife Lori. He is also survived by numerous cousins.


AUDREY MARIE MALONE, 90, of Gainesville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center.

She was born on August 30, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York at daughter of the late Thomas and Olive Ellis. She was a retired administrator in the cargo shipping industry.


WILLIAM EUGENE HENRY, age 81, of Woodbridge, VA passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014. Survivors include his wife, Ann Henry; three children, Neil Henry and wife Debby, Michael Henry and wife Patricia and William Henry and wife Gretchen; six grandchildren, Jacob, Caitlin, Kelly, Brett, Elizabeth and William and two step great grandchildren, Dominic and Greg. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 9, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9325 West St., Manassas with Rev. Vinnie officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax. WILLIE LEE DAVIS, 85, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on January 10, 1929 in Mayersville, Mississippi the son of the late Charles and Ruby (Gilleson) Davis. He was a retired painter at Quantico Marine Base. He loved fishing and being on the water and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was an avid NASCAR fan.


George Walter Purnell, 77, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on June 4, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

George was born in Milford, Delaware on April 17, 1937.  He joined the Marine Corps in 1955 and served 20 years.  He served in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V.

Gerda M. Noe of Woodbridge, VA died at the age of 91 on May 31, 2014. She was born in Heilbronn, Germany on June 8, 1922 to the late Hermann and Rosa Drautz. By the Fall of 1948, she met and married her husband,an Army Sergeant, and came to America to begin her life anew.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Theodore J. Noe and her daughter Barbara R. Noe. Gerda is survived by her brother-in-law Carliss E. Noe (Genny) of Myrtle Beach, SC and sister-in-law Jean Waltz (Charlie) of Glen Burnie, MD.
