Dr. Alfredo “Fred/Edong” Duque Po of Woodbridge, VA., was born on October 27, 1932 in Manila, Philippines to the late Miguel U. Po and Gregoria Duque. He was the fourth child out of 12 children. Fred attended Torres High School where he met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Sylvia Ventura. After high school, Fred pursued and graduated from medical school at the University of Santo Tomas. He married his sweetheart Sylvia.

They’ve been happily married for 55 wonderful years on April 8, 2014, and have been blessed with 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.


Virginia Lucille Clement Thiebolt Auterback of Woodbridge, Virginia, died on July 8, 2014.

Virginia was born on August 25, 1921 in Stigler, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Clyde Hembry Clement and Zella Esma Stewart Clement. She retired in the 1980’s from the federal government as a purchasing agent and relocated with her husband to St. Petersburg, Florida. She moved to Woodbridge, Virginia to live with her daughter in 2007.

David L. Cornelius, Sr., 61, of Lorton passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at home surrounded by family.

Cornelius, a native of Atlantic City, NJ, was a US Army veteran. He retired after 24 years in the Army, and continued his career as a federal government employee.


Linda Burke, 41, of Manassas, VA, on June 22, 2014.  She is survived by husband Liam, children Josephine and Patrick, mother Lilly Froewys, brother Walter Froewys, and an extended host of family and friends.


Ronald R. Green, Sr., 69 of Alexandria, Virginia, died June 23, 2014, at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital surrounded by family.  He honorably served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Sergeant Major.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda; sons, Ron Green, Jr of Portsmouth and Michael Green of Fairfax; and one grandchild, Ronald William Green.  A memorial is scheduled for 6pm, Monday, July 7 at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge.  The family will receive visitors from 7-9pm immediately following the memorial at Country Inn & Suites, 2621 Prince William Pkwy, Woodbridge.


Margaret “Peg” Heggenstaller, 83, of Woodbridge, VA, on June 27, 2014. Peg is a member of the Dale City Women of the Moose. She is a collegiate of the Women of the Moose and also the Academy of Friendship. She was predeceased by Earl Rosenberger III. Peg is survived by her husband of 63 years, Claude “Chet”, 5 children, sister Anna Waldrip of Olean, NY, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2014 from 8-8:30 a.m. with a 8:30 a.m. service at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge. Interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
