George Ilya Zbarsky, 87, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at his Manassas Home.

Mr. Zbarsky was a Russian Air Force veteran before becoming an engineer specializing in applied computing for the Air Force and the Space Program. He was an extremely capable handyman and he enjoyed time with his family.


Patricia (Patty) Ann Telford of Manassas, Virginia died peacefully in her sleep on July 8th, 2017. Patty was born in Washington, DC on May 17th, 1954 and continued to live in the Northern Virginia area. Patty is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Wheeler Telford and survived by her father William H. Telford. She was the beloved sister of Debbi Freer (Raleigh, NC) and Jennifer Nalepa (Aiken, SC); her brother-in-law Chick Nalepa; nephew Nick Nalepa (Ft. Lauderdale, FL); nieces Dawn Nalepa (Ashburn, VA) and Alena Freer (Raleigh, NC); and dear friend Victor (Joe) Frappier, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patty graduated from Fairfax High School and then James Madison University. Patty recently retired from the Farm Credit Administration. She has enjoyed traveling in the area to visit historic sites and museums. Patty was an active member of the Manassas Baptist Church.


Cecilia Ann Zink of Woodbridge, VA peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2017 at her residence. Cecilia is survived by her loving husband William (Bill); daughter Kathy (Wayne) Walker; sons Andrew Zink, Jeffrey Zink, Tim (Shannon) Zink; grandchildren Christopher (Beth), Kate (Joe), Ashley (Jeremy), Whitney (Matt), Stephen; great grandchildren Emily, Allison, Benjamin, Charlotte, Kade, Bailee, Ryley, Zeydin, Teagan & Brynli; Sisters Henrietta (Matt), Ann (Charlie); Brothers Zigmund (Glorie), Edward, Robert (Karen)

Cecilia was born and raised in the Detroit area of Michigan. She and Bill started their family there too. And then moved to the Thumb Area to the little town of Cass City where they had a small farm. After just over 10 years, they moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas. Cec had a number of jobs and experiences from sales support to bookkeeper to owning her own business. In 1997 her travels brought her to Virginia. A new job with Hallmark brought more fun and as she installed the newest and best that Hallmark Cards had to offer. In 2010 it was time to retire and spend time with family.


Francis Martin Davidson, age 64, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Prince William Hospital after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on March 24, 1953, in Mariemont, Ohio, son of Francis J. and Elizabeth A. (Kerrivan) Davidson. He is survived by his wife Jo Anne, his 3 children Melissa Mae, Michael Joseph, Patrick Nicholas, as well as his brother Philip, sister Elizabeth, and sisters-in-law Mary Landolt and Irene Davidson. Frank spent his childhood and teenage years in Salem, Massachusetts, before moving to Brookeville, Maryland; New Carrollton, Maryland; and Manassas, Virginia. His career included the US ARMY, IBM, and the CIA.

Frank was a people person–anyone he came in contact with, he would ask: "where were you born?" Mostly because he loved hearing about what state or country they came from but also their culture. Always the amateur zoologist since childhood, he continued to enjoy bird and animal watching through his window at the nursing home. An avid historian, Frank loved the history of WWII. Frank especially liked studying the Civil War which was one of the main reasons he moved to Manassas. Frank was a popular person at the Gainesville Health and Rehab nursing home – many Nurses/CNA’s enjoyed taking care of him and always remarked that he was so nice, always said "thank you," and was one of their favorites.


LINCOLN, NH – Robert Neil Milligan, 50, of Catlett, VA passed away suddenly on July 9, 2017 in Lincoln, NH after a fun filled day participating in Warren Old Home Days and riding with his ATV buddies.

Robert was born on December 21, 1966 in Arlington, VA to Robert D. Milligan and Mary A. Maillet. He was a graduate of Bishop Dennis J. O’Connell High School. Following in his father’s footsteps, he became an amateur radio operator (KA4PWS), participating in Field Days, giving demonstrations of Boy Scout Clubs, and aeronautical acrobatic air competition of vintage planes.
