Consuelo Gutierrez Duran

Consuelo Gutierrez Duran, age 48 of Manassas, VA died at her residence on March 22, 2019.

She is survived by her husband Alejo DeLeon Hernandez; her children Marylee Tuniki, Adriana DeLeon, Vanessa DeLeon, Katherine DeLeon and Alexander DeLeon; her granddaughters Ammanya Tuniki, Aaheli Tuniki and Aracely Campos; her siblings Dominga Gutierrez-Duran, Juana Gutierrez-Duran, Ramona Gutierrez-Duran, Gabriela Gutierrez-Duran, Luis Alfonso Gutierrez-Duran and Eleonora Gutierrez-Duran.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amada Duran Montero and Ildefonso Gutierrez.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services-9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.

Adeline Christina Raynor

Adeline (Addie) Christina Raynor, age 90 of Manassas, VA died peacefully at home on March 18, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on December 17, 1928 in Altoona, PA the daughter of the late Antonio Aveni and Vincenza (Agati) Aveni.

She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, William Dayton Raynor; one brother, Joseph Aveni; and three sisters, Margaret Nardelli, Helen McCulley, and Antoinette DiFlaviano.

Survivors include her sister Gina Romani of Altoona, PA; her children Michael Raynor and special friend Dana Brown of Manassas and Annette Greco and husband John of Haymarket; granddaughter Cecelia Michel and husband James of Culpeper; great-grandson Warren James of Culpeper; and many special nieces and nephews.

Addie was a long time member of All Saints Catholic Church. She worked in the Records Department of the Prince William County Police Department from 1976 to 1993. Previously, she volunteered at Stonewall Jackson Senior High School and All Saints School and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

Addie was the ultimate Italian hostess and enjoyed entertaining as many people as possible with her multi-course Thanksgiving Meals.

Her family invites you to a celebration of her life on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Pierce Funeral Home at 9609 Center St., Manassas, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at noon at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial follows at Quantico National Cemetery at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry in Addie’s memory.

Ralph Edward Casey

Ralph Edward Casey, age 94 of Gainesville, VA died on March22, 2019 at the Adler Center for Caring in Aldie, VA.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was born on July 11, 1924 in Malden, Massachusetts, son of the late Ralph E. Casey and Anna E. Powell Casey. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Casey and his sister Elizabeth Saulnier.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years M. Mercedes Casey: his children Mark Casey, Mercedes Serabian, Amy Geer and Jonathan Casey; his brother Robert Casey and by 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, VA on Friday, March 29, 2019 ata10:30 AM. Interment Quantico National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

Christopher Healy

Christopher Healy of Reston, Virginia died March 19th, 2019 at age 64. He is survived by his wife Barbara, three sons, and eight grandchildren.

Christopher retired from the United States Army after 24 years of active duty service. He then served another 15 years in Federal government civil service roles. He was a devout Roman Catholic and firmly believed in doing God’s work and giving to those in need.

Funeral services will be held on April 1st at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, VA. A viewing will take place from 0930-1100 followed by a funeral Mass from 1100-1200 with a reception afterwards in the church hall. Interment is planned at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. The family will communicate the information when it becomes available.

Jean Meredith Phares

Jean Lorraine Meredith Phares, age 88 of Fairfax, VA died on March 21, 2019 at Greenfield Senior Living in Berryville, VA.

She was born on September 15, 1930 in Pembroke, VA the daughter of the late Grover Leslie Meredith and Effie Susan Hickson Meredith.

As a true country girl she enjoyed fishing, animals of all shapes and sizes and was an excellent wild game cook. She was proud to be a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Elliott Phares and four brothers Leslie, Burman, Alvin and Ted Meredith.

Survivors include her children Gary L. Phares and wife Ann of Boyce, VA and Susan M. Phares of Fairfax, VA and by two step grandchildren Graham Savage of Chantilly, VA and Daniel Savage and wife Nicole of Leesburg, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 12 Noon in Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions in her memory be made to Blue Ridge Hospice.
