FREDERICKSBURG — With Virginia’s General Assembly now in session, the Democrats, who nearly clinched a majority in the House of Delegates, rallied Sunday in Fredericksburg calling for a change to the state’s voter laws.

Joshua Cole, who nearly beat Republican Bob Thomas in a recount election for the 28th District in Fredericksburg and Stafford County, spoke at the rally where organizers called for more funding to audit the State Board of Elections to find out why 86 voters in the 28th district were mistakenly given ballots for the neighboring 88th District.


Woodbridge has long been poised for growth, but it just hasn’t happened yet.

The area is the densest neighborhood in Prince William County. It’s located on the Potomac River, along Interstate 95, and it’s got access to major transit options like Virginia Railway Express, OmniRide, and the E-ZPass Express Lanes.

The worldwide network will begin limiting the content you see from news organizations like ours, as well as your favorite businesses, brands, and organizations.


The Freedom High School Marching Band in Woodbridge is one of two scholastic bands, chosen from across Virginia, to perform on Saturday’s inaugural parade for the commonwealth’s 73rd governor, Ralph Northam.

The band will leave Saturday morning after meeting for breakfast, and will then head to Richmond to march. For these band members, it’s the largest event in which they’ve ever marched.
