Prince William County Police Chief Barry Barnard will take questions once again fron the public at a special open forum. It’s the latest in a series of “conversations with the chief” the county’s police department started last year.

Saturday marks the start of National Park Week in the U.S. 

The event runs through April 29 and encourages residents to get out and explore their national parks. There are multiple National Parks in Prince William County to include Manassas Battlefield and Prince William Forest National Parks. 


STAFFORD — It’s billed as “five-star resort living,” complete with a 10,000 square-foot clubhouse, saltwater pool, onsite car wash, cabana, and spas for you and your pets.

The one thing they overlooked: The requirement of a washer and dryer in each home.


From Prince William police: 

Sexual Assault – On April 16 at 8:45PM, officers responded to the Le Tache Couple Boutique located at 10346 Portsmouth Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that an unknown male entered the business and approached a female employee who was standing behind a counter. During the encounter, the male went behind the counter and bit the employee.


From Prince William police: 

Brandishing Investigation – On April 18 at 8:51AM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing which was reported to have occurred in the area of Dumfries Rd near Purcell Rd in Manassas (20112) earlier that morning at approximately 8:30AM.


MANASSAS — BadWolf Brewery will close it’s taproom and production facility on Kao Circle in Manassas.

Brewery owners Jeremy and Sarah Meyers listed the facility for sale online with an asking price of $450,000. It’s advertised as a great location, and that it comes “primed for expansion with a great equipment package.”


WOODBRIDGE — One of the busiest libraries in Prince William County is set to close for renovations once more.

Chinn Park Regional Library will close its doors from April 23 to June 3 for upgrades to computer workstation areas, children reading areas, and for the creation of a new meeting and conference room.
