FREDERICKSBURG — Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) has received a Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority grant to create a dedicated, library-staffed ideaspace.
CRRL has been offering Maker technology, including 3D printers and scanners, drawing tablets, coding equipment, and sewing machines, to customers for a long time.

STAFFORD — Many of Stafford County’s two-lane rural roads date back 70 years, with narrow lanes, no shoulders, and sharp curves.
Now county residents will have the opportunity to authorize the Stafford Board of Supervisors to borrow cash to fix some of them. Supervisors voted to move forward with a plan to hold a referendum on the November ballot that, if approved, would allow officials to borrow up to $70 million for transportation fixes.
NORTH STAFFORD — For years, a Rite Aid Pharmacy at Aquia Town Center had an unusual agreement.
It was the only pharmacy allowed to locate in what was one of the busiest shopping centers in Stafford County, located in near the intersection of Routes 1, 610, and Interstate 95 in North Stafford.
STAFFORD COUNTY — An SUV plowed into a townhouse Thursday afternoon.
Stafford County fire and rescue crews were called at 6:59 p.m. to the 100 block of Tamar Creek Lane off Route 1, about a mile north of the county courthouse.

STAFFORD COUNTY — The Patawomeck Indian Tribe hasn’t had a permanent home for 300 years, but the Stafford Board of Supervisors voted 7-0 in favor of leasing a portion of a county-owned property at Duff Green Park to the tribe.
It is a 10-year lease and can be renewed up to four additional times.
