STAFFORD COUNTY — A 55-year-old woman died in a house fire overnight.
Fire and rescue crews were called to 1253 Mountain View Road for a report of a house fire at 1:04 a.m. Friday.

FREDERICKSBURG — Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.) held an open round table discussion on preventing gun violence at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church in Fredericksburg.
This was the second of such meetings to take place that day, the first having taken place in Richmond.
From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office: Three suspects behind a robbery that occurred in the Widewater area during the early morning hours on Sunday have been apprehended by units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 23, 2019, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Deputy Houde responded to a reported robbery on Chopawamsic Parkway. The caller advised that he was driving down the road when he was flagged down by a male subject who said he had just been robbed.

STAFFORD — The Stafford County School Board is considering new revisions to its existing nondiscrimination policy that are raising unanswered questions.
One of the biggest proposed changes is the inclusion of protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity; however, many questions still remain as to how these anti-discrimination protections will be carried out by the county and how the policy will affect students and teachers directly.
