Stafford sheriff’s office press release | FRAUD — Pinkerton Court, 01/06, 6:00 p.m. A resident reported that an individual impersonating a deputy with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office called him and said he missed jury duty.
Consequently, he needed to pay a fine in the amount of $1111.00 using gift cards. The resident realized the call was a scam and immediately reported it to the Sheriff’s Office. The incident is under investigation.

Press release | The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle crash that killed two people on Monday on White Oak Road.
On January 6, 2020, at approximately 12:31 p.m., deputies responded to a head-on collision at the intersection of White Oak Road and Kendallwood Drive. When deputies arrived, witnesses reported observing a silver 2017 Acura RDX drift over the centerline into the eastbound lane and strike a white 2017 Nissan Rogue head-on.

The George Washington Regional Commission will pay $1 per space, per workday to lease at the Claiborne Run Shopping Center, located at 1 Jadip Lane in Falmouth.
9 p.m. | Authorities tell us two drivers involved in a crash today on White Oak Road in Stafford County have died.
Both unidentified drivers were taken to a local hospital for treatment following the crash.

Right at 40 years since Kevin McGee started in the fire service, he started as the Waco Fire Department’s new interim chief, expecting to serve until the spring.
He came to Stafford County from a county just outside Charlottesville in 2016 to take over the reins of the Stafford County Government.
He’s a Dale City native, as we reported when he took the job. And now he’s ready for retirement.
