More people are overdosing on heroin in Manassas.
City Police Chief Douglas Keen reports there have been 56 total heroin overdoses in the city in the past year. That’s an increase of 70 percent over the previous year.

The Stafford County School Board is considering revisions to their student transfer policy that will increase the cut-off for elementary schools from 80 percent to 90 percent capacity.
Already, middle schools and high schools are designated closed and won’t accept new transfer students when they reach 90% capacity. Some exceptions are made under extenuating circumstances.

Presidential candidate Micheal Bloomberg is scheduled to appear in Manassas on Monday night for a town hall hosted by Fox News Channel.
The former New York City mayor is slated to take the stage inside the Gregory Family Theater at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Fox News Channel website states. The event will be televised live on the Fox News Channel.
