Improperly discarded smoking materials are to blame for a house fire in Stafford County.
Fire crews were called to a home in the 600 block of Melchers Drive in Falmouth at 1:52 a.m. Saturday, January 2. Some furniture on the front porch caught fire, but the blaze didn’t damage the home.

For my family, 2020 was an exciting year, one where we welcomed our first child’s birth. It was a life-changing experience bringing her into the world — one for which we had spent much of 2019 preparing.

One man is in custody following a robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Manassas.
At 1 o’clock this morning, police were called to a 7-Eleven at 8901 Godwin Drive for a report of a robbery. The store clerk told police that a man walked into the store and demanded money while implying he was armed.
