A suspect is held without bond after being arrested for two separate DUI-related accidents in less than twelve hours.

On February 23 at 8:45 a.m., Deputy B.E. Vaughn responded to the 900 block of Mountain View Drive for a single-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputy Vaughn observed a box truck crashed in the woods.


Reconstruction of Lafayette Blvd to include a new roundabout to service the Telegraph Hill developments will affect area motorists beginning March 8.

Motorists accessing southbound Lafayette Blvd from westbound Blue-Gray Parkway will need to pay close attention to left turn lane changes, which will include a turn lane closure to access a single southbound lane on Lafayette between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.


Death Investigation – On February 23 at 4:52AM, officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center (ADC) located at 9320 Lee Ave. in Manassas (20110) to investigate the death of an inmate.

The investigation revealed that an inmate, identified as a 26-year-old man, was located unresponsive by another inmate inside his cell. Medical staff responded and provided first aid until fire and rescue personnel arrived. The inmate was pronounced dead at the ADC.


Multiple jurisdictions in our region are reopening their local governments to the public.

The Board of Supervisors will resume meetings with in-person public comments on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Those seeking to make public comments at either the 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. meeting will be checked at the front door.


Just after 5 p.m. on Monday, February 22, units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue (SCFR) responded for a reported structure fire in the 600 block of West Rocky Run Road in the southern part of the county, near Fredericksburg.

First arriving units arrived seven minutes later to find smoke coming from all sides of a single-family home.


Beginning March 15, 2021, and continuing through May 31, 2021, Stafford County will begin a system-wide flush to ensure a high level of disinfection of all County water mains.

Once every two years, the County takes extra steps to maintain the 711 miles of water mains in the distribution system through a deep cleaning process called “free chlorination.”
