National Weather Service: “Forecast high temperatures today are in the upper 80s for much of the area, breaking 90 at some locations. Clouds increase throughout the day. Shower and thunderstorm chances spread west to east this evening and continue into Monday.”
“Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 7 to 13 mph. Tonight: A chance of showers between 2 am and 5 am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 am. Fredericksburg Nationals: “Fredericksburg jumped ahead early, but eventually lost 6-4 to the Charleston Riverdogs. It was a big first inning for the Nats, as Johnathon Thomas singled and Elijah Green walked to quickly put runners aboard. Paul Witt then clobbered his team-leading seventh home run to put the Nationals ahead 3-0.”
“Jarlin Susana was sharp through three innings, allowing just one run to score on a balk. But in the fourth, a single and a pair of wild pitches allowed the Riverdogs to pull within a run at 3-2.”

“During the single lane closure between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m., the 95 Express Lanes will be traveling southbound. The Lanes are regularly closed between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. on weeknights for southbound to northbound reversal. When the reversal is complete, the entry points near Courthouse Road and near Garrisonville Road will remain closed until 4 a.m. The southern most entry point into the 95 Express Lanes during this time will be near Dumfries Road.”

Fredericksburg Nationals: “The FredNats took their first loss of the series this week, falling 4-1 against the Charleston Riverdogs.”
“After the first two innings went by scoreless, the Riverdogs drew first blood in the top of the third inning. Cooper Kinney worked a walk with two outs in the frame, then Dom Keegan quickly doubled off the wall in center field to plate Kinney and give the ‘Dogs a 1-0 edge.”
