Students in schools, office workers at businesses and in government and those at home are asked to participate in  the drill so they will know what to do in the event a twister strikes.

The National Weather Service will send out a test tornado warning triggering a tone alert on NOAA Weather Radio. The warning will also prompt a warning message on radio and TV.


Quantico, Va. –– For two days this week, Quantico Marine Corps Base is going to be booming. Officials have announced they will be conducting munitions training on the base today until 4 p.m.

They’ll pick up the training again from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.


Firefighters in Woodbridge shaved their heads to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton VFD held their sixth-annual St. Baldrick’s event on Friday, where 52 volunteer fire and rescue crew members, including Prince William Supervisor Martin Nohe, shaved their heads for a cause.


The new site aims to make information about county services, bill payments, public notices, and news about videos about the county easier for users to access with a newly improved search engine.

“The main objective for the completely renovated site is to provide information on the County’s services in a more user-friendly manner,” said County Administrator Anthony Romanello in a press release.


Police say they used a new tool in their arsenal to arrest the man charged as the East Coast Rapist, Stafford County has been awarded federal money for new firefighters, but will they take it? And it looks like the FBI hit the wrong houses during a raid last week in Dale City.


The sheriff’s office will hold a drive-through community shred event from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. April 16, at Stafford County’s public safety complex at 1225 Courthouse Road in Stafford.

For $5 per box, or up to 100 pounds per material per person, residents can drive up the shredding location and then hand over a box full of documents to a volunteer who will shred the papers.
