A field day at Crow’s Nest Natural Area Preserve in Stafford County will be Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Participants will experience one of Virginia’s most significant natural areas through a guided hike and natural history interpretation.

The Prince William Wildflower Society recently donated five copies of the long awaited book, The Flora of Virginia, to the Prince William Library System. The books will be placed in the regional and central libraries and one in the Ruth E. Floyd Information Center.

DALE CITY, Va. — All lanes of Interstate 95 south were closed just before 2 p.m. Tuesday after a multi-vehicle crash near Dale Boulevard.
The crash happened at mile post 156, and the southbound travel lanes and HOV lanes were both closed by police as emergency crews responded to the crash.

Prince William County leaders are expected to approve $1,500 in funds to be used to match a state grant that, when complete, will provide $3,000 for implementing a cell phone tour of the site where Gen. Stonewall Jackson raided federal supplies during the Battle of Kettle Run, and 1,750 people lost their lives.

And if you’re not behind the wheel of a car, U.S. 1 in Woodbridge is not a very friendly place to be, despite portions of the road having sidewalks, several bus stops, homes, and shopping centers.
