DALE CITY, Va. — A police detective was hit by a car after witnessing a drug deal in Dale City, police said.
It happened at a 7-Eleven store at 7001 Dale Boulevard,near Hoadly Road, on Friday. Detectives from Prince William police’s Street Crimes Unit witnesses a drug transaction in the parking lot pf o o f the store between the driver of a car and another person. When the detective approached the car, the driver put the car into reverse and backed it up, then stopped, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Both Stafford and Prince William counties have made their pitches to become the next home for the FBI’s national headquarters.
In a recent letter from Prince William County Board of Supervisors Corey Stewart, the developing Potomac Shores neighborhood — with a planned Virginia Railway Express station — was dubbed a good location for the federal agency.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Steel beams from the ill-fated World Trade Center made the return trip to the Prince William County Government Center on Monday.
Two years after a special ceremony was held at the government enter in Woodbridge heralding the arrival of the beams, the steel was placed on the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza where they will be preserved with an epoxy sealant for use in a permanent memorial on the nearby grounds.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police in are investigating a body found in Woodbridge nearby a commuter bus terminal.
Police said said the case does not appear to be suspicious. Initial reports indicate police were called to an area near the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission’s Transit Center on Potomac Mills Road, near Dale Boulevard, today to investigate the discovery of the body.

After reviewing security footage at the CVS Pharmacy robbed at gunpoint this morning, police say the suspect’s vehicle appears to be a late model Chevrolet Camaro, not a Ford Mustang as first suspected.

MANASSAS, Va. — The man behind those threatening notes left on doorsteps in homes in Manassas has turned himself in, police said.
A 21-year-old male whose name police will not release was suffers a mental disability, and is suspected of leaving threatening notes on city doorsteps on December 2012 and again in March.
