LAKE RIDGE, Va. — The students at Woodbridge Senior High School in Lake Ridge have named Gabriel Mendoza & Caitlyn Bishop as their Homecoming King & Queen.

Patricia Ann Trimble has a long history in city government. She has seen how both the Commissioners and Treasurers offices work and feels that she can use this information to better operate the revenue office for the people of Manassas Park.
“I am a very down to Earth person and I believe that city officials are here for the citizens,” Patty told Potomac Local News.

DALE CITY, Va. — With nine days left until the statewide gubernatorial election, President Bill Clinton came to Dale City on Sunday to campaign for Democrat Terry McAuliffe.
On the stage behind President Bill Clinton and Virginia Gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe on Sunday sat Stafford County’s first black elected member of its Board of Supervisors.
Bob Woodson represented Stafford’s Griffis-Widewater Magisterial District until he stepped down from the board in 2012.

Volunteer Opportunities in the Area
· Good morning – Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center in Haymarket is having their next volunteer training on November 2. This special organization provides equestrian activities to individuals with physical or intellectual challenges. Volunteers are needed to assist the instructors as side walkers or helping with fundraising events. All volunteers must attend a training program and be at least 14 years old. Get ready to turn your clocks back next weekend and fall back. On Sunday, Nov. 3, daylight saving time comes to and end and we return to standard time.
This means we’ll regain one hour of sleep, or whatever it us you’re doing at 3 a.m. on a Sunday. The move comes after we sprang forward for spring back on Sunday, March 10, when we moved our clocks forward one hour from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.
