MANASSAS, Va. — An armed man walked into a 7-Eleven store in Manassas, robbed the place, and then knocked the store clerk in the head with a gun sending him to a hospital.

The City of Manassas’ Operation Round Up is in full force, where customers that authorize the City of Manassas to “round up” their monthly electric bill to the next higher dollar.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A new system will provide real-time information for local transit buses.
The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission on Nov. 19 deployed “Transit Now,” a new technology that replaces old tech that supported the “Rider Express” email notification system that sends service alerts to passengers. The new system will be used in the same way but is directly tied into the computer aided dispatch system used by the commission’s OmniRide and OmniLink buses.
OCCOQUAN, Va. — Santa Claus will arrive in Occoquan for his annual visit this Saturday.

A new law taking affect Jan. 1 will allow drivers to keep license plates on recreational vehicles, as well as those that are not driven all-year-long.
Before the law, drivers had to surrender license plates for vehicles not in use.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A joint land use study at Quantico has been underway as the region examines how to better grow with the crossroads of the Marine Corps in its back yard. Now that commission will present its findings.
The joint land use study, or JLUS, has examined localities in Stafford, Prince William, and Fauquier counties, probing future development that is planned near the boundaries of the Marine Corps Base. The study will also help to determine what future activities will be planned at Quantico.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — School officials in Prince William County want to hear from the public on what do to do with artifacts found at the site of the soon-to-be-built 12th high school.
A series of graves were found at the school site near Va. 234 and Hoadly Road over the summer. Last month, those graves were dug up to make room for a football stadium for the new school site. The owners of the graves were identified as belonging to the Lynn family who used to live in the area in the late 1800s.
