WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Clean-up efforts are underway this morning after a fire engulfed an apartment inside a high-rise building in Woodbridge.
Disaster recovery crews were mopping up after fire broke out in an apartment on the 4th floor about 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but heavy damage caused by water forced many to be displaced from their homes according to a fire department source.
STAFFORD, Va. — With the potential for the region to pick up some serious snow and ice Sunday into Monday, area emergency officials urge you to take this storm seriously.

Please pick up a few extra canned goods, pasta, sauces, fruits and vegetables as you can. The food pantry is located at 8170 Flannery Court in Manassas which is right off of Wellington Road. Hours are Monday – Friday 11am-5pm and Wednesday until 8pm.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — An area landfill is turning more trash into energy.
A 4.8-megawatt facility that turns methane gas emitted by the landfill into electricity officially came online Wednesday at the Prince William County Sanitary Landfill on Va. 234. The new facility joins a 1.9 megawatt gas-to-energy facility in operation at the landfill since 1998.

The water treatment facility at Abel Lake went back into operation at midnight, stated Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department Asst. Chief Mark Doyle.
A man from Manassas was killed in a car crash. Witnesses told police the two cars involved appeared to be racing.
