DALE CITY, Va. — Two adults and three children were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation this morning.
Fire and rescue crews from the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department were called to a home in the 3200 block of Bradford Street, just off Birchdale Drive in Dale City, about 4 a.m.
Business leaders in Manassas got another earful from elected leaders on just how bad the state of transportation is in our area.
The region’s top leaders said the Bi-County Parkway, and improvements to Va. 28 which links Manassas and Manassas Park to Fairfax County, must happen if Prince William County is going to continue to attract jobs and investment.
The National Weather Service has forecasted for winter weather in the Stafford area for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Snow today is expected to begin before noon, with less than half an inch of accumulation. More snow is expected overnight into Wednesday morning, with less than an inch of accumulation.

Following the spring-like temperatures we saw over the weekend, might see some snow Tuesday and Wednesday.
Flurries mixed with rain are possible Tuesday morning, mainly before noon. Temperatures were forecast to drop into the mid 20s Monday night and rise into the high 30s Tuesday. Up to an inch of snow is possible on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The Virginia State Police are continuing to investigate a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Stafford on Sunday, February 23 at 4:01 p.m. in the Northbound lanes at the 137-mile marker. The crash resulted in five injuries.

Chairman Corey Stewart says and says money to lower class sizes and increase teacher pay has to come from somewhere.
He and the Prince William County Board of Supervisors is now wrangling over a proposed $975 million budget that doesn’t leave much room for the hiring of new police officers and fire and rescue personnel, or bringing on new employees into government that saw positions go unfilled or slashed since the start of the recession in 2008.
