PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Keith Scarborough will return for another three-year term on Prince William County’s Electoral Board.
Appointed the position as head of the Board, Scarborough will work with the county’s Office of Elections and General Registrar Douglas Geib to oversee all voter registration in the county.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — It’s been over a week and there are still few clues in the shooting death of 21-year-old Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero.
Romoero was shot and killed on the evening of Friday, Feb. 21, while working at the Platanillos Grocery store on U.S. 1 in Woodbridge. Another 42-year-old woman working alongside her was also shot causing life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

There are a few things that caught our attention when we read this morning’s briefing from the National Weather Service.
After seeing how high temperatures during the day today could rise up well above 40 degrees, it’s what will happen after colder air from the north pushes into our area later tonight, just in time for a winter storm to move in.
If you watched the BOCS on February 25, you may have seen the debate raging to set the advertised tax rate for the 2015 fiscal year.
I spoke at the afternoon session, not wanting to be involved in the likely long evening session during citizens’ time. There was a lot of heartfelt commentary from citizens ranging from the PWC Arts Council who joined forces with many other non-profits, like ACTS and Habitat to show the connectivity and importance of the wide range of services and necessity for access to all in our community.
