WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The Prince William Area Free Clinic received financial help from a good neighbor.

The Lake Ridge Ambulatory Surgery Center gave the clinic $317,000 to be used for operating expenses. The clinic in Woodbridge doesn’t charge for services and provides acute treatment to patients with chronic ailments.


FALMOUTH, Va. — When Lynn Knight first drove to Falmouth she couldn’t find the place.

The area – once a bustling port in the 18th and 19th centuries – sits on the Rappahannock River in Stafford County across from Fredericksburg. Knight, a consultant who was hired to figure out how to make Falmouth bustling again eventually did find the tiny village, and then she devised the Falmouth Master Interpretive Plan that details how to bring more people to the area with the hopes of boosting tourism and commerce.

It’s a clear sign that the Interstate 95 Express Lanes Project is moving along.

The first six of 30 new overhead toll gantries have been installed along the project corridor from Edsall Road to North Stafford. The gantries will allow drivers on the Express Lanes to pass under them and will read EZ-Pass transponders used to pay tolls, which will be required in each vehicle to use the lanes.
